Placing an Order
To complete orders placed in the roux.dk shop, we need to store the following information about you: name, address, phone number, and email address.
Please note that Renard Roux does not collect or store your credit/debit card number or information when you make a payment. For questions regarding your transactions on our site, please consult your card-issuing bank for information.
Our system will send you emails with order confirmations, shipping confirmations, package tracking information, and invoices. You may also receive SMS’s with shipping notifications. We will not use your contact information for any news or advertising purposes, unless you’ve signed up for our newsletter.
NewsletterIf you decide to sign up for our newsletter we need to store your email address. The amount of newsletters sent out is kept at a reasonable, low volume, typically when we release new posters or products.
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by using the “Unsubscribe” link found in all our newsletters.
Information Storage & DeletionYour information is stored securely in our shop platform (service provider: Shopify). Your data is also sent (fully encrypted and secure) to our service partners in order to facilitate the fulfilment and shipping of your order, as well as meeting our legal bookkeeping requirements.
- Data is sent securely to our shipping platform (service provider: Shipmondo), where the information is needed in order to fulfill and ship your orders.
- Our system sends emails with client information to our inbox (service provider: Google) regarding new orders. This is necessary to keep us informed on order activity and planning.
- Order information is sent securely to our bookkeeping software (service provider: Dinero). This is necessary to meet legal bookkeeping requirements as stipulated by Danish law.
Your name, address and phone number will appear on the packaging label and any relevant shipping documents when your order is packed and shipped. This is necessary to make sure your package gets to where it needs to go, and so that the shipping agent (PostNord, GLS, etc.) can get in touch with you, should the need arise. Any additional shipping documents, such as pro-forma invoices (looking at you, Norway) or purchase orders are primarily for customs purposes.
Your data is stored for 5 years, after which it is deleted.
You can request access to your data stored with us at any time by writing an email to email@example.com with the title "please delete my data".
When you make a data request, you will receive an email with your data (in CSV format),and we will delete your data from our servers.
Should you request that your data be deleted, we will delete it from our shop platform as fast as possible, and no later than one week after your request is received. Please note that if you have placed any orders with us, the data will still be stored in our bookkeeping software for 5 years, as required by Danish law, after which time it will be deleted.
When you first visit our shop from a country within the EU, a cookie banner is displayed that asks for your consent to store cookies, and also lets you to specify if you want to allow some while rejecting others. This banner is powered by an external partner (service provider: CookieYes). Your consent (or lack thereof) is stored securely along with your IP number in our CookieYes account for 5 years to comply with GDPR regulations.
